The President is Missing is about a president who is in a race against time to stop a cyber attack on the United States. It is a very slow burn… almost too slow. It does t really start to pick up speed until about page 300, but when it does, boy does it get going!
If you can suspend your disbelief, this is excellent fun. If you know anything about computers, a lot of the cyber terrorism stuff in this book will really take a toll on that suspension, but this isn’t – unlike what Patterson purports it to be – authentic fiction.
This is a thrill ride. If you take it for what it is, it’ll be enjoyable.
